bankHOMETOWN’S 13TH ANNUAL “NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS” CAMPAIGN CONCLUDES

OXFORD, MA –
bankHometown concluded the 2016 campaign with total donations of $17,500.00, representing contributions from personal and business customers and employees, and a dollar for dollar matching gift from the Bank.

Individual checks in the amount of $2,500.00 were presented to each of seven participating food pantries at a holiday reception at bankHometown’s Oxford Branch on Thursday, December 8, when we met with representatives from Auburn Youth & Family Services, The Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf, Food Share of Southbridge, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry of Webster, the Athol Salvation Army Emergency Food Pantry, CARE Food Pantry of Clinton and Ginny’s Helping Hand, of Leominster.

Our Neighbors Helping Neighbors campaign is a way for bankHometown and its customers to make a real difference in the lives of local residents. We applaud the Herculean efforts of these agencies and those committed volunteers who join us for this event year after year.

This year’s donations brings the total amount of contributions since the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program was started in 2004 to $119,200.00. Your contribution makes it possible for the agencies we support to use their group buying power, relationships with local vendors and best judgment to obtain the items and services that are most in demand by their constituents.

All of us at bankHometown are proud to be able to assist local residents in need through this annual campaign, and we are doubly proud to be able to count you among the customers who have supported us in this venture.
